I surely love my laptop but recently I felt the need to have a handy gadget that I could use on the go. A gadget that is compact and comfortable to carry. A gadget that is not too large or too small for me to do my tasks.
With the recent boom of tablets in the market, I was introduced to Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, a recent addition to Samsung’s Tab family. With Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, I can connect either by using WiFi or 3G. Being a WAHM, being online most of the time is very essential to me. With Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, I can still continue working even if there is a typhoon or power interruption in my area… where it usually happens. Another useful and great feature of this android device, I can turn my tablet into a portable WiFi hotspot and can get my other wireless device online including my laptop or iPod anytime, anywhere I go!
Here are some catchy details of this Tab that caught my interest (not the full specifications):
- Dimension: 193.7 x 122.4 x 9.9 mm (just about the right size)
- Weight: 345 grams (so lightweight right?)
- Display Type: PLS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors
- Display Size: 600 x 1024 pixels, 7.0 inches (resolution is acceptable but if used outdoors, visibility is not that clear so watch out for the sun)
- Multitouch: Yes (you can either pinch or double tap to zoom)
- Memory Card Slot: microSD up to 64 GB
- Internal: 16/32 GB storage, 1GB RAM
- Others: Organizer, Image/Video Editor, Quickoffice HD editor /viewer, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, You Tube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa Integration, Voice Memo
- Batterry: Standard battery, Li-Ion 4000 mAh (battery life depends on the usage, full charge can run to 1 to 1 ½ day)
With this Android Tablet, I can use Google Docs (Google Documents) for free. Communication at work is not a problem anymore because I can use Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Chat, Skype, etc. to interact with workmates and other people as well. It also features the Social Hub application wherein social networking sites, email and SMS are integrated into one window. Yes, I almost forgot, it also comes with cellular features – meaning you are able to send/receive SMS and make/receive phone calls.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus worked for me and I hope it will work for you too. Enjoy!

Are you really using this on Meann?! I am also in the market for a tablet but I am not sure what to get… A friend recommended Ainol but I am waiting for Christmas before I purchase one — waiting for the promos
Hi Nica, sorry for the late response. Yes, I use this tablet for work. I would recommend Samsung galaxy tablets because of the quality. If you want a bigger screen, you can check on 10.1 galaxy tablets. The bigger, the better. But with portability features, I would go for 7-inch tablets are quite handy to use! Goodluck on your purchase!
